What I produced for The Inking
Ben Richardson, came to me in need of someone to bring his idea and vision for his business card to life. He had done a sketch on exactly how he wanted it to look, thinking about appointment boxes and social links.
I was able to take Ben's Drawings and recreate them in vector format ready for web and print. This was done using Adobe Illustrator, I used various tools that adobe has to offer to allow me to do this. once I had the main graphics recreated I began using grids and guides to mark out the cards, it's important to use guidelines as to when it comes to printing you could result in losing important assets, due to trimming(cutting).
The final step was to match or style the text to fit in with the rest of the design. after some searching online I was able to find a suitable copyright free font to use for the text. It's important to use Copyright-free, failing to do so can result in legal issues. This is just one method of styling the text to the artwork, an alternative way is to hand draw a custom font that can be used throughout the clients brand or business.
